Audisee's Origins: The Odyssey
The famous Greek epic poems attributed to Homer gave us the inspiration for the project’s title. Since first meetings we were oriented to create something that could be seen as a journey through some human feelings, represented in an abstract manner. In addition, we were looking for a name, a single word that could synthesise the two forms of expression that characterise our work, sounds and visuals. From here the idea of merging audio and video in a word that sounds like the Greek poem, so to describe how we intend the performance. http://www.gutenberg.org/etext/26275
Other projects
This section contains a selection of the research we have done in order to find inspiration for our project; an analysis of innovative projects, recent and current, that for different reasons are related with our interests.
Palindrom
Use of bio-sensors and motion tracking technology that enable the control of music, lighting and video-projection.

Glow
Glow is a project that uses a sophisticated video tracking system to capture and manipulate the movement of a dancer. This happens by means of algorithms that elaborate the data fed by the tracking system, with an output, made of moving graphics and light, that is never the same.

Pina Bausch
Pina Bausch is a modern dance choreographer and a leading influence in the development of the style of dance known as Tanztheater (“dance theatre”, a genre grew out of German Expressionism dance). Messa di Voce
Messa di Voce (Ital., "placing the voice") is an audiovisual performance in which the speech, shouts and songs produced by two abstract vocalists are radically augmented in real-time by custom interactive visualization software. This software, built in Processing, generates shapes and particle systems according with the position of the artists on the stage, given by a camera tracking system.
